Be part of National Grid's exciting new engineering center of excellence near Boston, Massachusetts. Our Engineering and Asset Management department is currently looking for protection engineers with several years experience in the protection engineering and asset strategy field.


If you have a proven track record of delivering protection designs or developing protection asset management strategies we would like to hear from you.


Prospective candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years or more experience in Electric Transmission or Distribution protection
  • Real world experience in setting and coordinating complex, multi-functional relays
  • Knowledge and direct use of power system analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • PE license or international equivalent is preferred
