Iony Patriota de Siqueira

Iony Patriota de Siqueira was born in Sao Jose do Egito, Brazil. He has a Ms. C. degree in Operations Research, a MBA in Information Systems, and a finishing PhD level in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of Cigre and IEEE, former convener of Cigre WG B5.32 on Functional Testing of IEC 61850 Based Systems, Secretary of Cigre Study Committee B5, and convener of Brazilian Technical Committee of IEC TC 57. Currently he is vice-director of Brazilian Maintenance Association and Manager of Protection and Automation at CHESF.

When not working Iony likes reading, seeing movies and walking in the beach, preferably far from any city.

Tarlochan S. Sidhu

Tarlochan S. Sidhu (M'90-SM'94-F'04) received his B.E. (Hons.) degree from the Punjabi University, Patiala, India, in 1979 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1985 and 1989, respectively. He was with the Regional Computer Center, Chandigarh, India, Punjab State Electricity Board, India, and Bell-Northern Research Ltd.. Canada. From 1990 to 2002, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Saskatchewan, where he was Professor and Graduate Chairman. Currently, he is Professor and Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Western Ontario, London. He is also the Hydro one Chair in Power Systems Engineering. Dr. Sidhu is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and the Institution of Electrical Engineer (U.K.). He is a Registered Professional in the Province of Ontario and a Chartered Engineer in the U.K.
When time permits, Tarlochan loves to travel with his family.

Holger Krings

Holger Krings started his career with training as electronic installer and finished with distinction. He studied Electrical Engineering at the technical university RWTH Aachen and followed a postgraduate studies with certification in entrepreneurial business development and marketing. Since 2006 he is Project Manager at FGH and leads research projects with focus on ICT. Holger is active in standardization committees e.g. IEC TC57 WG17 "Basic Communication Structure for Distributed Energy Resources Logical Nodes", DKE 952.0.17, and FNN PG 61850. He also provides training and is responsible for setting up of FGH seminars and FGH expert conferences on IEC 61850.
In his leisure time Holger enjoys taking photos as well as doing sports such as running, sailing and playing ice-hockey in a hobby league.

Fred Steinhauser

Fred Steinhauser studied Electrical Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria, where he obtained his diploma in 1986 and received a Dr. of Technical Sciences in 1991. In 1998 he joined OMICRON electronics, where he worked on several aspects of testing power system protection. Since 2000 he works as a product manager with a focus on substation communication issues. Fred is a representative of OMICRON in the UCA International Users Group. As a member of WG10 and WG17 in the TC57 of the IEC he contributes to the standard IEC 61850. Fred is also a member of SC B5 of CIGRÉ.

Fred loves doing outdoors' activities. In his leisure time he likes biking, hiking and traveling to scenic, picturesque places.
