The IEEE Chapters serve as a bridge between the local IEEE sections and the technical societies with which the chapter is affiliated. The Chapters provide the closest link between the member and higher technical (TA), and regional/geographical (MGA) hierarchies of IEEE, and are expected to serve as the first and most apparent source of technical knowledge, networking and resources for its members.
The IEEE PES Vice President for Chapters is responsible for the operation of IEEE PES Chapters organization for the chapters throughout Regions 1 – 10 and has both line responsibility for chapters and staff responsibility for the support functions within the Chapters organization. The Chapter organization includes Region Representatives for USA, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia & Pacific, PES Distinguished Lecturers Program (DLP), Chapters’ Awards and Resources, Electronic Communications who report to the Vice President for Chapters.
