Final Thoughts

Tell us your opinion about the names of the PAC World issues during the year.

Should we use the seasons?

This is the question we asked on the PAC World web site three months ago. We wanted to hear your opinion about the way we label the individual issues within the year. You had to choose from the following options:

  • Use the month when the magazine is mailed - (example March, June...).
  • Use the number of the issue in the year - 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • Keep it as it is

As you can see from the pie-chart on the right - more than half (60 percent) of the readers that voted selected the option to use the name of the month when the magazine is mailed to you. We are going to follow your wish and starting in 2010 we will have March, June, September and December issues.

After we resolved the issue with the use of the months, we would like to ask you about the content of the magazine for year 2010. Since the goal of PAC World is to provide our industry with a forum for discussions, we need to hear from you what four topics we should have as the focus of the magazine next year. Just keep in mind that this year the center of attention of the issues of the magazine is as follows:

  • Winter 2009 - IED and system testing
  • Spring 2009 - Distribution protection
  • Summer 2009 - IEC 61850 applications and benefits
  • Autumn 2009 - Wide Area Protection

Use this opportunity to make sure that what is of interest to you will be addressed by industry experts in 2010.
