Protective Relaying: Principles and Applications

The Third Edition of Protective Relaying, Principles and Applications comes twenty years after the first edition of the book that has been one of the key reference books for protection engineers in North America, as well as many others around the world. The popularity of the original was mainly due to the style of the book - straightforward and application oriented. The core of this book, is on the fundamentals of electric power systems analysis, especially fault calculations, and the requirements and principles of protection of the different system components.
The need for this third edition is driven by the significant changes in protection technology that started around the time of the publishing of the first edition and has become widely accepted in the last ten years. More
