The Power Systems 2010 Conference was held 9th to 12th March, 2010.
The Power Systems 2010 Conference was hosted by Clemson University at the Madren Center, Clemson University, Clemson, SC, USA. It is one of the first conferences that started bringing together specialists from different fields in the protection, automation and control industry, and giving them the opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics related to advanced metering, protection control, communication and distributed resources. The conference does not only cover many topics, but also does so using a variety of formats – tutorials, technical paper sessions, panel discussions, exhibit area presentations and keynote speakers.The first day of the conference was dedicated to two tutorials:

The keynote speeches were delivered by industry experts and executives talking about uncertainty in the utility industry, architecture development and dispelling the myths of deploying smart grid. During the breaks participants in the conference had the opportunity to discuss with the exhibitors the latest protection, automation and control technology and listen to the exhibit area presentations on power system protection, control and communications, substation automation, PMU systems, IEC61850 and dynamic line rating protection.
