It is the North American utility industry's leading smart grid conference and exposition, covering automation and control systems, energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy integration, advanced metering, T&D system operation and reliability, power delivery equipment and water utility technology. The importance of the event and the growing interest in smart grid related technologies was reflected in the record-breaking attendance - more than 8,600 specialists from around the world.
The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for the visitors to touch and feel the latest products, and to discuss with the suppliers experts the application of theirs technology, and to learn about the directions of future developments.
A broad range of events were running in parallel with the exhibition, thus complementing it with different sessions that provided a forum for presentations and discussions of issues related to the challenges of the transition towards the smarter grids of the future.
The program was organized in fourteen conference tracks and included 78 conference sessions. The presenters were representing utilities, suppliers, consultants, academia and federal agencies with interests in smart grid related issues and technologies, including more than 135 utility speakers and more than 350 of the industry's top speakers.
The program included  21 Utility University courses covering topics selected to help the attendees to expand their knowledge in advanced communications, integration, standardization and other smart grid related topics.
DidtribuTECH also offered multiple opportunities for meeting old and making new friends during the networking organized at the end of the day.
