Inspire 1 - advanced camera drone

The detection of a short circuit fault or other abnormal condition is only the first step in a process of finding what exactly the cause is and the exact location. This is where the advances in drones and camera technology can help our industry by giving us a new set of tools that will allow us to improve the efficiency of the fault finding process.
An example of one such product is the Inspire 1, DJI’s most advanced technology that comes together in an easy to use, all-in-one flying platform that empowers the user to achieve whatever their goal is.

The drone uses 13 inch quick release rotors enforced with new carbon fiber compound material and brushless motors integrating curved magnets eliminating airflow gaps within the motor, greatly increasing efficiency.

The revolutionary Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC) with sinusoidal drive replaces the square wave drive of traditional ESCs redefining the whole drive system offering features such as closed loop torque control and distinct functional redundancy with the highest efficiency and reliability.

The Main Controller is the “brain” of the entire system, receiving thousands of bits of data every second and translating that data into action as you fly. It tells every part of the Inspire 1 what to do, calculates environmental conditions in real-time, and ensures that the aircraft responds to control commands instantly. The position is constantly updated and recorded using a high-strength, intelligent GLONASS + GPS system.

Automatically keeping the Inspire 1 stable and steady is based on DJI’s advanced Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). It incorporates both a 6-axis gyroscope and an accelerometer to monitor miniscule changes in tilt and movement. This allows the aircraft to compensate and adjust immediately, holding its position at all times.

Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) handle communication between the Main Controller and the motors. They tell each motor exactly how fast to spin and how much power to use at all times. As you fly and maneuver around, each motor moves at its own speed as calculated by DJI’s advanced algorithms, giving the user complete control.
The Inspire 1’s remote controller combines DJI’s most sophisticated control technology with added dual operator support.
