Roy Moxley has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado. He joined Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL) in 2000 and serves as marketing manager for protection products. Prior to joining SEL, he was with General Electric Company as a relay application engineer, transmission and distribution (T&D) field application engineer, and T&D account manager. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Pennsylvania and has authored numerous technical papers. He also has a patent for using time error differential measurement to determine system conditions. Roy likes outdoors activities - riding horses or motorcycles, biking, hiking and jogging.

Charlie Henville has enjoyed being a protection engineer for 31 years. He has engineering degrees from Cambridge University in England, and the University of BC in Canada. After a long career with BC Hydro, he started his own engineering consulting business and is president and principal engineer of Henville Consulting Inc. based in British Columbia, Canada. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a registered professional engineer in several provinces of Canada. Charlie's professional passion is the protection of electric power systems. When he is not calculating relay settings and writing technical documents he likes to relax by rowing in a racing shell. In this photograph he is reminiscing about his early experiences rowing on the Cam in Cambridge England.

Damien Tholomier received a BEng in Electronic, Electrotechnique and Automation from the University of Franche-Compte (France) in 1990, and a Master in Electrical and Automation Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique of Marseille in 1992. Damien has worked as an Applications Engineer for GEC Alsthom GmbH, Stuttgart in Germany, as Marketing Manager and Sales Director for Alstom T&D Protection & Control in Lattes, France and as Marketing Director for AREVA T&D Automation Products in La Defense, France. Damien is currently Managing Director for AREVA T&D Substation Autotomation Solutions North America based in Montréay, Canada. He is CIGRE, IEEE, IEC TC95 and GIMELEC member. When Damien is not working (very rare ... but his wife some times succeeds to stop him from working), he likes to play tennis in the summer time with friends and his son. In winter, he can be seen riding along on a dog sleigh or ski-doo (snowmobiling) and dressed like the Yeti Man with Snow Shoes!

Rich Hunt concentrated on power systems while studying for his BSEE at Virginia Tech to avoid taking microprocessor design classes, graduating in 1986. After spending a decade at a utility, Rich went back to Virginia Tech to learn about the application of microprocessors to protective relaying, earning his MSEE in 1998. Since then, Rich has worked on the supplier side, and is an application engineer with GE Digital Energy Multilin. Rich is a Professional Engineer, author of numerous technical papers on applications of protective relays, and is a subcommittee chair in the IEEE Power System Relaying Committee. When not helping clients with protective relaying applications, Rich likes to suffer in fast group rides on his road bike, where he gains mental toughness, physical fitness, and the occasional orthopedic injury..
