Middle East Electricity, 2013 United Arab Emirates

The motto of the show was “Doing Global Business a Power of Good.”

It was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai. With its 38 year history, Middle East Electricity is not only the longest-running , but also the largest power event in the region.

Middle East Electricity 2013 was the most successful in the show’s history, with close to 50,000 square meters of exhibition space, more than a thousand exhibitors and a 30% increase in visitors, at more than forty-seven thousand.

Middle East Electricity is positioned as the meeting place for international companies to demonstrate their products and services for the power, lighting, renewable and nuclear sectors to a broad audience of key decision makers from over one hundred countries worldwide. Showcasing the latest trends in renewables and other smart grid technologies is fitting in Dubai, a city that demonstrates the power of human innovation with accomplishments such as the tallest building in the world and several artificial archipelagos that can be seen from space.

The exhibition was organized within multiple pavilions, including more than seventeen government-supported country groups & national pavilions. It is expanding its reach based on its co-location with the inaugural edition of Solar Middle East, a three-day event dedicated to the regional solar industry.
