Biography: Dr. Yoshifumi Ohura was born in Liao Yang, Liao Ning province in Republic of China on January 6th 1935. After he joined the Tokyo Electric Power Company Inc. in April 1954, he had mainly been responsible for development of power system protection and control system in TEPCO power system operations department. He received PhD degree from the University of Tokyo in 1992. Dr. Ohura contributed numerous engineering services including convener of CIGRE SC 34 Japanese national committee and the chair of power system relaying committee of JIEE. He is now continuing his engineering carrier as a professor of TEPCO training center and by writing transaction papers.
