APAP 2025 was held from October 20 to 23, 2025 at the Phoenix Island Resort in Jeju, Korea. The theme of the conference – “Empowering Tomorrow: Smarter Grids, Greener Futures” – guided discussions across four days of technical sessions, keynote presentations, and industry-academic exchange.

The conference brought together leading researchers, practitioners, and students in power system automation and protection, and provided a vibrant setting for exchanging ideas and forging new collaborations in a scenic island environment. On Tuesday the opening ceremony took place in the Island Ballroom.

Over the four days, participants engaged with a comprehensive program, which included keynote speeches, technical sessions, posters, industry exhibitions, and social program. Key focal areas included advanced protection strategies, automation of power systems, integration of inverter-based resources, digital substations, and cyber-secure grid control. These topics reflect the conference’s mission to support secure, reliable, and green power infrastructure.
Attendees also participated in multiple social events that complemented the technical program: on Monday evening a welcome reception overlooking the sea was held on Tuesday evening a “Beer Time at Poster Session” offered informal networking over refreshments while viewing posters, and on Wednesday a banquet closed the formal day of sessions.
