EEE T&D Transmission and Distribution Conference

The event took place 4 -7 May 2026 at McCormick Place South Building, Chicago, Illinois (IL), USA.

The event was hosted by ComEd, an Exelon company, and focused on the theme “Powering Reliability, Engineering Resilience,” reflecting the industry’s commitment to build a modern, and resilient electric grid.

The event brought together more than 18,000 power industry professionals, over 900 exhibiting companies, and participants from 89 countries, making it the largest IEEE event ever organized. The exhibition showcased the latest advances in transmission and distribution equipment, digital substations, protection and control systems, communications, cybersecurity, asset management, and software solutions for the evolving power grid.

The technical program included more than 100 technical sessions, Super Sessions, tutorials, panel discussions, and stage presentations, covering the most important challenges facing modern electric power systems.

Networking was another key component of the event, with an Opening Reception, Exhibit Hall Power Hour, and numerous technical and social activities. The conference provided an exceptional platform for exchanging ideas, exploring innovative technologies, and strengthening professional relationships across the global power and energy community.

The 2026 IEEE PES T&D Conference demonstrated that the electric power industry continues to accelerate its transition toward more intelligent, digital, and resilient transmission and distribution systems.

By combining world-class technical content with the industry’s largest exhibition, the conference successfully highlighted the technologies, strategies, and partnerships that will shape the future of electric power delivery.
