Nine months ago, our lives changed dramatically and unexpectedly due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
This had an impact on the way we do everything, so we had to cancel the PAC World conference in Prague in June and go virtual with the PAC World Americas conference that was supposed to be in Raleigh.
With the multiple vaccines becoming available soon there is light at the end of the tunnel. The problem is that it is not clear how long the tunnel is.
It is time to plan for 2021 and since uncertainty is the biggest enemy of any planning, we must decide on how to proceed with the conferences next year. Taking into consideration everything that we know at this stage, it looks like the safest option is to combine the two PAC World conferences in a single global virtual event that will be held 31 August – 1 September 2021 in the cloud.
The experience with the virtual PAC World Americas conference this year tells us that we can have a very successful event that will bring together members of our community to share the challenges that we are facing and the accomplishments that we have achieved by presenting papers during the two day conference.

We hope that many of you are going to join us for next year’s conference.
Keep safe and enjoy the holiday season.
