Eric Udren Joins US National Academy of Engineering

Eric A. Udren, September 2016 PAC World Guru, has been elected to the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) ‘for leadership in advancing protection technologies for electric power grids’ in an October 6, 2019 ceremony at the National Academy of Sciences.

Academy membership honors outstanding contributions to “engineering research, practice, or education, including significant contributions to the engineering literature” and to “the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology or, making major advancements in traditional fields of engineering.”

NAE is an independent institution whose mission is to advance national well-being by promoting a vibrant engineering profession and by marshalling the expertise and insights of eminent engineers for independent advice to the federal government on engineering and technology.
