November 2021. The UCA International Users Group (UCAIug) coordinated a global virtual test of the IEC 61850 Substation Configuration Language (SCL) engineering processes and tooling.
The SCL engineering process was tested including system specification (SSD), system configuration (SCD), and the first ever test of system exchange (SED).
A global virtual network provided by CISCO (www.cisco.com) was used to verify client and server device configuration of the engineered system using vendor specific IED Configuration Tools. The integration and creation of the SCD(s) was performed by a team from POWER Engineers (www.powereng.com).
