The new SEL-787L Line Current Differential Relay protects overhead and underground distribution lines and cables.
Focusing on utility and industrial applications, the SEL-787L provides differential protection using an IEEE C37.94-compliant communications link (point to point or through a multiplexer). The SEL-787L is similar to the popular SEL-751 relay with conventional and low-energy analog current and voltage support.
The relay includes an optional touchscreen interface with single-line diagrams to quickly determine power system status as well as communication link monitoring features.
The SEL-787L also includes flexible I/O capability, easy panel and rack mounting, robust arc-flash protection, and reliable directional over-current protection for low impedance and high impedance grounded systems.
