RTDS Technologies has released a new simulation hardware option for the RTDS Simulator: NovaCor® Light. NovaCor Light is a lightweight alternative to the RTDS Simulator’s flagship hardware (NovaCor 2.0). NovaCor Light is an entry-level real-time simulator with built-in analogue and digital I/O for hardware-in-the-loop testing. It also includes a site license of the RSCAD® FX simulation software, and options for system expansion.
This platform is capable of protection testing including digital substations, microgrid and inverter control testing, renewable energy integration studies, HVDC and FACTS control testing, and more.
