Gene Henneberg has been elevated to IEEE Fellow “for contributions to electric power system integrity protection schemes.”
He has more than 45 years of experience in power system engineering. He is presently Vice Chair of the Power System Relaying and Control Committee, and former chair of the C – System Protection Subcommittee. He was Chair of the drafting teams for NERC Standards PRC-012-2 Remedial Action Schemes and PRC-023-6 Relay Loadability.
He is Chair of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council’s Remedial Action Scheme Review Subcommittee. He is a Principal Protection Engineer with NV Energy, is a PE in the State of Nevada, received a BSE from Walla Walla University and MSEE from Washington State University.
