SoC-e’s IP Cores support it all – Including Mode R

SoC-e’s technology is known worldwide for being on the cutting edge and supporting the highest number of standards.

This time it does so by making its IP Cores support the connection of an RSTP LAN to an HSR ring, according to Mode R of the HSR-PRP Edition 4 (2021) standard.

In this way the RedBoxes encapsulate the BPDUs they receive from RSTP to allow the bridges to detect their topology through the HSR ring. In the same way, the HSR ring is identified as another redundant connection.
